# This file is simply a file containing path names, Retain component IDs
# and versions for each pathname.  Since our build environment is set up
# along LPP lines, the database has very few entries in it.
# The Retain information is found in the compids.table file in the
# packaging tree (src/bldenv/pkgtools).

# The retidsbld script looks through the database until the path of the
# file it's building matches a path in the database.
# The match is done using the number of characters in the database 
# pathname.  For example, if the file being built is 
# /bos/usr/bin/errlg/errpt/errpt, and an entry for /bos was
# found in the database, this would be a match.  If the RAS code had
# a different Retain component, then an entry could be put into
# the database preceeding /bos, like, /bos/usr/bin/errlg.
