Notes on fixed width fonts:
|
|
|
|
- The nominal point size of each font is based on the distance in pixels
|
|
from the top of the 'T' to the bottom of the 'y'.
|
|
|
|
- The "serif" fonts are loosely based on Prestige typewriter; "cour"
|
|
fonts are Courier. The "screen" fonts have been tuned for the Sun screen.
|
|
|
|
- Some fonts had different names before release 2.0; there are symbolic
|
|
links between the old font names and the new ones.
|
|
|
|
- All fonts except the small sized ones have been extended to display
|
|
ISO Latin 1 (ISO 8859/1) characters. These bitmaps are displayed when
|
|
the font is addressed by an 8-bit single byte character.
