Notes, bugs, observations on Ken's tools for ST graphics libraries. (Also see the READ.ME file on his PC graphics disk.) The ST tools now work only with hi-res, monochrome screens from Paintworks. Should be made to work with medium-res screens too, optionally converting a color image to monochrome (reduces size from 32 to 16 Kb). Add a flags word to the "squish" output file to identify the three cases. The current sources are not maintainable. They need to be re-coded and made modular, with a reduced number of global variables. "SQUISH" -------- The picture height in the second word of the output file (savescreen()) is smaller by one than the actual number of data rows written. Should be able to select the whole screen with a special key or mouse action, without drawing a box. "SMASH" -------- The previous height bug is fudged (compensated for but propagated) in read_picture(). The last input file in the command list is ignored.
